The Reverend W. Franklyn Richardson is Senior Pastor of the historic Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY. A community builder and organizer for decades, Dr. Richardson has played a pivotal role in grass root efforts to reestablish a cultural bridge between community and education. He has worked to level the ground by fighting for equitable opportunities in public education in and has been involved in the brick and mortar realities of housing development. His insightful guidance is responsible for two Grace Church related Community Development Corporations which have constructed more than 65 million dollars in affordable housing.

 

 

 

 

 
        
The Reverend Edwin C. Sanders, II, is the Senior Servant and Founder of the Metropolitan Interdenominational Church, a congregation that has attracted a broad cross-section of people. Metropolitan has outreach ministries in the areas of substance abuse, advocacy for children, sexual violence, harm reduction, and HIV/AIDS services (the later through the First Response Center, which Rev. Sanders founded in 1992). Rev. Sanders is frequently called upon to speak for conferences and other forums throughout the United States regarding the faith community’s response to HIV/AIDS and substance abuse issues.
